Today is the World Health Day and the focus is on depression so below is menu to devised to increase the happy hormone serotonin. 


Serotonin is a neurotransmitter that makes us feel good. It is manufactured from the amino acid tryptophan. Foods such as chicken, turkey, red meat and eggs are high in tryptophan. 


Breakfast 

Protein smoothie - whey protein with banana, honey and coconut milk 

Handful of almonds 


Lunch 

Steak with sweet potatoes and buttered kale 


Dinner 

Roast chicken and quinoa salad with chopped avocado.
